News November 14, 2014

What to do with your pool in the winter
Temperatures are supposed to be getting warmer next week, but it’s going to be a cold winter. Here are some tips for winterizing your pool when the temperatures dip below freezing.

When making preparations to protect your plants, pets and pipes from the winter freezes, remember your swimming pool.

How to prepare your pool for winter freezes
Don’t forget to disconnect your fill line timer from the hose-bib.

All pools with single speed pumps (meaning the pump is either on or off) need to be set to run during the entire time that temperatures are below 34 degrees. Variable speed and two-speed pumps are protected from freezing as long as the pump is running; either high or low speed.
