July 4th Drink Recipes for the Pool
July 4th is nearly here, can you believe it?! This year has gone by so quickly!
If you’re planning on celebrating Independence Day by the pool, we’ve found some terrific cocktail recipes from around the web that will keep you in a state of ultimate relaxation all day longï¿½ and they’re all July 4th themed!
Here are four July 4th Drink Recipes you have to try this year!
2 parts Irish Whiskey
1 Part Apricot Brandy
1 Part Cranberry Juice
2 Parts Champagne
Lemon Wheel (thinly sliced)
To serve as a cocktail:
Build all ingredients over ice in a stemless red wine glass.
Garnish with a lemon wheel.
To serve as a punch:
Double the recipe & multiply by the number of guests you plan to serve.
Add whiskey, brandy and cranberry juice to a punch bowl.
Stir and refreigerate.
When guests arrive, add champagne & lemon wheels.
Serve over ice in stemless red wine glasses.
Firecracker Punch (Non-Alcoholic)
2/3 cup red cinnamon candies
4 cups water
1 can (6oz) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1/3 cup frozen (thawed) orange juice concentrate (from 6oz can)
1 bottle (1 liter) ginger ale
6 orange slices, cut in half
In 1-quart saucepan, cook cinnamon candies and 1 cup of the water over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until candies are melted; remove from heat. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
In large punch bowl, stir candy mixture, remaining 3 cups water, the lemonade and orang juice concentrates until well mixed. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Just before serving, gently stir in ginger ale. Garnish with orange slices.
1 1/2 ounces vodka
1/2 ounce triple sec
1/2 ounce blue curaï¿½ao
1/2 ounce prepared sweet-and-sour mix
1 dash grenadine
Mix all ingredients except grenadine in a shaker and chill.
Pour into a martini glass.
Add grenadine (it will sink to the bottom).
1 1/2 oz. SVEDKA Stars & Stripes
1 oz watermelon schnapps
1/2 oz cranberry juice
1/2 oz lemon juice
1/2 oz simple syrup
1/4 oz blue curacao
To make simple syrup, mix equal oz hot water & sugar until sugar is dissolved.
Add watermelon schnapps and cranberry juice over ice.
Carefully add lemon, simple syrup, and vodka as to layer the white layer.
Very carefully layer the blue curaï¿½ao to create the color separation.
Gently top with soda
